China & Japan sales drive for Israeli automotive cybersecurity pioneer

We’re pleased to have kicked off a business development programme in China and Japan for Israeli mobility security pioneer C2A Security.

As electric and connected vehicles are becoming increasingly technologically complex, the risk of cyberattacks is rising across the whole mobility ecosystem – from in-car systems to charging stations and the wider electricity grid. C2A’s EVSec cybersecurity software provides advanced protection against such attacks – for manufacturers, suppliers and vehicle owners alike.

Established in 2016 with its head office in Jerusalem, the company has raised $15 million in funding from investors including MOREVC, OurCrowd, MANIV Mobility and Reliance.

C2A was already doing some business in China and Japan as part of its global expansion plans and has now appointed us to further its growth in these countries. Both are major global centres of development of next-generation vehicles – with OEMs and suppliers which need to comply with international cybersecurity standards.

Our teams in Shanghai and Tokyo are:

  • identifying and engaging prospective customers amongst automotive OEMs and tier 1 suppliers
  • helping C2A’s existing Asian partners to secure sales and supporting our client’s on-going discussions with Chinese and Japanese prospects
  • providing C2A with intelligence on the Chinese and Japanese automotive markets
  • helping our client to decipher the countries’ cybersecurity standards and regulations

Roy Fridman, C2A Security’s CEO, said: “China and Japan are vital global automotive markets and obvious targets for our specialised cybersecurity automation devops tools.

“We engaged Intralink because of their deep understanding of these markets, close connections in the countries’ automotive sectors and acumen in driving business development programmes in Asia.”
