Last week, seven UK scaleups offering innovative technologies for the maritime sector pitched their offerings to five of South Korea’s largest shipbuilding and ship owning corporations during a trade mission to the UK.

We’ve just released a report highlighting the opportunities for UK quantum computing companies in Japan as the country invests to accelerate the development of commercial applications in fields including chemistry, financial services and logistics optimisation. We’ve produced this report as part of the UK-APAC Tech Growth Programme, the initiative we’re running on behalf of the UK government to help British tech firms grow in the Asia Pacific region.

Four innovative UK tech companies have been selected to receive Government support from the UK-APAC Tech Growth Programme to accelerate their plans for expansion in Japan. The companies offer a range of technologies identified as of interest to Japanese corporations, including the developer of a ‘space situational awareness’ system to tackle the increasing problem of satellite congestion, and the provider of a ‘nature intelligence platform’ to help organisations manage their use of natural resources.

Last week, seven British semiconductor technology companies flew to Seoul for Semicon Korea 2024 – where we set up 51 one-to-one meetings with Korea’s biggest players in the industry as part of the UK-APAC Tech Growth Programme.

We’ve just concluded a Business Development Initiative in Australia for British satellite connectivity firm Wyld Networks – with a deal for our client with Australian environmental monitoring firm NOVECOM.

We’re delighted to welcome our first three companies to the UK-APAC Tech Growth Programme, an initiative we are delivering on the behalf of the Government to accelerate the growth of tech firms in the APAC region.
