London, UK — This month sees the first ever London Technology Week which will showcase London's role as the digital capital of Europe – and Intralink will be there to share its thoughts on how western tech firms can tackle the complex but key technology markets in Northeast Asia: China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan.
Mayor of London, Boris Johnson said, "Throughout the week of 16th June tens of thousands of the industry's top tech professionals will flock here to share brilliant new ideas, build business relationships and help cement London's position as a top global tech hub."
Intralink present an interactive seminar "A Techie's Guide to Navigating Opportunities in Asia" hosted by Alex Gover and Hannah Jackson. Alex is a bilingual Japanese speaker who has spent over 20 years dealing in and with the region, while Hannah is fluent in Mandarin and was based in Intralink's Shanghai office developing opportunities for western technology firms in China.
Intralink Founder and Chairman James Lawson said, "Our focus is on enabling western technology firms to overcome some of the barriers to entry in these markets. We started 25 years ago in Japan and have since opened offices in mainland China, Korea and Taiwan. The opportunity in this part of the world is now huge but the problem is how to capitalise".
