Barcelona is gearing up for next week’s Mobile World Congress, which this year celebrates its 30th anniversary. Originally a gathering of mobile phone executives, MWC now attracts over 100,000 international visitors spanning a range of myriad technology fields including Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, autonomous vehicles and digital advertising.
Interest in these emerging sectors in the West is just as strong in other parts of the world, particularly Asia – and this is reflected in Intralink’s customer base all of whom are targeting the increasing opportunity in the APAC region. In the IoT space for example recent clients include Kathrein, German developer of antenna solutions, Sigfox, French IoT network specialists, and NextG-Com, UK provider of Narrow Band IoT solutions – which this week was acquired by Arm.
Greg Sutch, Intralink CEO said, “It is not just IoT – we are working across a broad range of areas including automotive, artificial intelligence and programmatic marketing, as well as underlying semiconductor and materials technologies. This year will be our 15th consecutive year at MWC and it has been interesting to watch the mobile space evolve and branch out over the years."
