We’re proud to be helping Mnubo, the Canadian Internet of Things (IoT) analytics company, establish a presence in Japan with its first office outside North America. This is a milestone in the company’s long-term commitment to the Japanese market.
We’ve supported the recruitment of Mnubo’s first two employees in Japan and are now ‘incubating’ its Japanese operations within our Tokyo office.
Mnubo’s investment in Japan builds on the intensive sales programme we’ve been managing for the last year. We’ve conducted 160 sales meetings and attended 18 exhibitions on Mnubo’s behalf, supported five visits by the company’s directors and helped secure four customer deals.
We’ve also brokered strategic partnerships with Soracom, Kyocera Communication Systems and Rikei.
As a result, Japanese companies like Johnson Controls-Hitachi, Yanmar and iTSCOM are now using Mnubo’s SmartObjects platform to analyse their IoT device data. And systems integrator Connected Design is marketing the Mnubo-based smart home system it initially designed for iTSCOM.
Mnubo’s two new employees are working alongside the Intralink team to accelerate the sales efforts for Mnubo in Japan, generating further leads and securing additional deals.
In doing this, we’re providing a fast, easy and cost-effective stepping stone in Mnubo’s international growth. In the near future, we plan to build on this by helping the company hire its own country manager and establish a fully-independent Japanese office.
Frederic Bastien, Mnubo CEO, said: “We’re excited to support the digital transformation of global Japanese manufacturers and solution providers with our leading-edge AI and IoT solutions and expertise. Intralink has been instrumental in driving business value, quickly positioning us as leaders in this high-tech industry. We are looking forward to continuing our work with them as we rapidly expand and strengthen our presence in Japan.”
