We’re proud to announce we’ve established a partnership with major international bank Santander to help companies expand in East Asia.
Our first joint initiative will be a webinar next week on South Korea’s life sciences sector – see below to register – with more initiatives on other markets soon to follow.
Our partnership with Santander is designed to help western firms expand in China, Japan and Korea. We’ll be working together to run events, webinars and trade missions and to provide specialist advice — combining Santander’s international business growth acumen with our expertise in East Asia’s biggest markets.
In our first joint webinar, our Seoul-based medtech specialist Ruslan Tursunov will discuss the opportunities in Korea’s life sciences sector, the regulatory considerations and the best strategies to enter the market. He’ll be speaking alongside Santander’s Head of Life Sciences & Pharmaceuticals, Philip Jennings, and a representative from the Industrial Bank of Korea.
Korea’s life sciences market has huge potential for international firms. Pharmaceutical sales are tipped to reach $21 billion in 2025, with digital health revenues forecast to hit $4.5 billion sooner than that.
And there’s a big appetite in Korea for collaboration with western companies. Over two thirds of the country’s medical devices, for example, have been imported in recent years.
With a Q&A session near the end, the webinar will be a great chance to learn more about the market, ask any burning questions and get personalised advice on the best approach for your business.
The session runs from 9am to 10am (UK time) next Thursday, 5 December. You can participate through your computer or dial in via phone.
