You’ll be identifying, engaging and signing up new clients to take on a journey of further expansion in Asian markets. You’ll work alongside a diverse group of 130+ business development consultants with a deep specialism in Asia. Over 34 years in the business, we’ve helped more than 1,500 western tech start-ups, scale-ups and SMEs establish and grow in Japan, China, Korea, Taiwan and Southeast Asia – generating upwards of $800 million in revenues for our clients.

The job
As BD Manager, you’ll be interacting with top tech innovators daily – through emails, calls, F2F meetings, events and trade show visits. You’ll be identifying your targets and building relationships, developing proposals and closing deals as well as engaging clients post-sale.
You’ll be engaging with both the Singapore branches of overseas firms and cutting edge local tech firms. You’ll aim to understand their growth plans for overseas markets and discuss how our in-market business development support services can accelerate their expansion plans.
You’ll often be talking to APAC VPs, CEOs, CTOs and Founders. You don’t need a deep technical background, but you should be able quickly to grasp the commercial and technical value propositions of companies across a range of high-growth sectors including software, renewables, medtech & life sciences and electronics.
You’ll have a full suite of tools at your disposal – from Salesforce CRM and Sales Navigator to a library of company decks and templates – as well as the day-to-day support and collective experience of your colleagues.

What you'll need
- Excellent spoken and written English – to get complex ideas across to prospects and understand the intricacies of their business
- Ideally, knowledge of China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan or wider SE Asia – to relate to our company’s history and mission
- An understanding of the Singaporean business, venture capital and tech environment – to identify the right companies and people to engage
- A genuine interest in technology, sustainability and international business – to pitch Intralink confidently and passionately
- 2-3 years of sales/BD experience in relevant technology sectors such as software, renewables, medtech & life sciences, electronics – to bring your own contacts and flair to the job
- Experience of building an initiative from the ground up, with demonstratable results
- The ability to work independently while being very much a part of a team
- A university degree in business, management, or in a technical/engineering field
- Ideally but not essentially; additional SE Asian or NE Asian language(s) – to engage more easily with overseas prospects
- Currently based in Singapore
